- Identify and assess opportunities for knowledge and technology transfer using a holistic structured analytical process focused on the needs of the client leading to the articulation of market driven knowledge and technology requirements.
- Identify knowledge and technologies, owned by government, commercial and academic sources and assess its suitability for transfer to clients.
- Assist clients to address barriers to innovation by introductions to expertise in finance, grants, technology, academia, manufacturing and marketing.
- Access the research resources and services of Higher Education Establishments, Research Institutes, Government and Industry.
- Advise on and manage applications for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).
- Identify and, on behalf of clients, apply for funding and Grants for Research and Development.
THE UK MOD AND HOME OFFICE MARKETS AND RESEARCH RESOURCES
- Access the MoD’s Defence Equipment & Support Organisation and Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE).
- Access the Home Office Scientific Development Board and Counter Terrorism Centres.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INDUSTRIAL PARTICIPATION
- Assist agencies with responsibilities for economic development to meet their goals through the design and delivery of bespoke knowledge and technology transfer schemes.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- Provide basic advice on and assistance with the management of IPR (applications, maintenance, licensing, disputes or enforcement)
