The Consultancy fosters innovation in Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SME)s by providing access to new technology and knowledge, assisting clients to overcome barriers to innovation, with entry to and exploitation of the defence, homeland security and health markets, and advising on Intellectual Property (IP).
The consultancy
- Brokers the transfer of technology and knowledge between organisations that conduct research and development – universities, research institutes, government, companies - and manufacturing and service companies.
- Identifies sources of private and public funding for and manages grant applications for research and development.
- Assists SMEs to gain access to defence, homeland security and health procurement programmes.
- Devises and delivers technology transfer projects.
- Writes and manages Business Plans for SMEs undertaking R&D based projects.
- Provides basic advice on and assistance with the management of IP (applications, maintenance, licensing, disputes and enforcement).
